HURRICANE SEASON – The 2009 Atlantic hurricane season began on June 1 lasts until Nov 20. Hurricane forecasters are predicting a near-normal season. But the National Weather Service Climate Prediction Center says global weather patterns are creating greater uncertainty for the 2009 hurricane season outlook than in recent years.
